Smooth and gradual transitions make children happy. Every child is different, so we always consider their needs when moving them into another room.

Feeding Their Curiosity

Welcome to our toddler room here at Marshmallows Day Nursery. We take on children from the age of 2-3.5 years old. Our toddler room consists of two different rooms, our first room being our messy room which is where our children can play with playdough, sand, water and explore different resources such as paint, glue and scissors.

In our messy room we encourage physical development, mark making and expressive arts and design as our children can make their own choices as to what activity they would like to do – our staff ensure to always sit and engage with our children for health and safety reasons as well as interacting with them too. Moving on to our role playroom, this room allows our children to use their imagination and become whoever they aspire to be!

Our kitchen area allows children to portray themselves in multiple ways, some may be a chef, some may be a parent cooking for their child – there truly is no limits when it comes to role play. We love to see our children dress up which is why we always ensure to have fancy dress out, this is always linked to our current theme, for example: Halloween outfits, Santa hats, flip flops and shorts during the summer.
